APPRAISAL CUM PLAN WORKSHOP - PRAKASAM DISTRICTS

Rural Development Dept. GoAP is implementing the DFID supported AP Rural Livelihoods project (APRLP) since 1999 on pilot basis in the 5 drought prone districts with the objective of improving the living conditions of the poor with focus on natural resource based livelihoods. The project is to close its activities by end of December’2007. The project Management Unit therefore felt essential to have a thorough appraisal of all the APRLP watersheds and get the watershed wise monthly action plans prepared for the next balance period.

Objectives:

  1. To appraise all the Village Organizations implementing APRLP watersheds
  2. To prepare VO wise monthly action plans of all the watersheds for the balance of the project period
  3. To examine convergence arrangements between APRLP & Indira Kranti Patham
  4. To bring out successful case studies of APRLP watersheds

Process:

The entire team of Project Management Unit (Spl. Commr. / Project Coordinator, Dy. Project Coordinator, and Asst. Project Coordinators) will spend 5 days in the district to take up the tasks along with the DWMA functionaries. The junior executives (JEs) and an accountant from PMU shall join on the last two days of the 5- day schedule. The entire team will divide into MDT wise     sub-groups and conduct the workshops.
