Poverty alleviation through use of improved agricultural technology - Chittoor District
Objectives:

  • Providing international repute Israeli technology for improved yields
  • Providing high yielding / hybrid varieties.
  • Improved irrigation techniques like sprinklers

              The Government of India have sanctioned special project of Poverty Alleviation through use of Improved Agricultural Technology in Chittoor District with a total cost of Rs.1500.00 lakhs to be shared between central government and state government in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.1245.00 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project.     The total expenditure under the project is Rs.1553.14 lakhs.  The installation of Drip & Sprinkler system completed in 7585 acres.   

            The project has been closed.

 
Gollapalem lift irrigation scheme on Aleru Drain in Inkollu mandal - Prakasam District
Objectives:

  • Provide irrigation facility to small and marginal land holdings of Self Help Groups through lift irrigation
  • Enable the SHG families plant atleast 2 crops a year and thus improve their economic condition.

The Government of India have sanctioned special project of Gollapalem Lift Irrigation Scheme on Aleru Drain in Inkollu Mandal of  Prakasam District (2001-2002) with a total cost of Rs.295.00 lakhs to be shared between central government and state government in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.118.00 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project. 

Due to administrative reasons the project could not be taken up and closed and  the amount has been returned to GOI and GOAP

 

 
Sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural poor SHG women through integrated dairy development - Warangal District
Objectives:

¨      Capacity building of self help groups in modern dairying techniques, automatic milking machines and establish dairy units for supplies to the urban centres.

 The Government of India have sanctioned special project on sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural poor SHG women through integrated dairy development in Warangal district  with a total cost of Rs.875.00 lakhs to be shared between central and state governments in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.350.00 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project.      

                So far an amount of Rs.339.19 lakhs has been utilized for the benefit of 6649 SHG women.

 
  Innovative sheep development for upliftment of weaker section Medak District
Objectives:
  • Improve the economic conditions of shepherd families through providing high meat yielding and also support the traditional kambali making units.
The Government of India have sanctioned special project on innovative sheep development for upliftment of weaker section in Medak district  with a total cost of Rs.280.55 lakhs to be shared between central and state governments in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.224.42 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project.      So far an amount of Rs.189.70 lakhs has been utilized for the benefit of 5967 shepherd families.
 
Diary and Sheep Development Rangareddy dist.
Objective:

  • To provide income generating assets to BPL families for self employment, capacity building of livestock farmers and shepherd community.
  • Promoting AI for upgrading low-yielding non-description cattle and providing database and technical support for sustainable development.

The Government of India have sanctioned special project on integrated Dairy and Sheep development in Rangareddy district  with a total cost of Rs.732.80 lakhs to be shared between central and state governments in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.219.84 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project.   

                So far an amount of Rs.52.25 lakhs has been utilized for the benefit of 1382 families 
 
Turmaric powder Nizamabad District.

Objective

  • To imbibe modern technology suitable to explore local requirement in order to increase the productivity levels.
  • To facilitate rural industrialsists.
  • Establishment common facility centres to disseminate and popularize improved methods of turmeric processing for increasing productivity of turmeric growers.

The Government of India have sanctioned special project on enhancement of livelihood options to the Turmeric Growers by providing technical and marketing technologies through Common Facility Centers in Nizamabad district  with a total cost of Rs.883.17 lakhs to be shared between central and state governments in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.353.27 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project and so far an amount of Rs.58.58 lakhs has been utilized covering 20161 beneficiaries under the project.

 
 
Special Project on Employment generation in rural areas of

Nellore

Objective

  • Economic improvement through sheep breeding, ram lamb rearing, dairy, fisheries and decilting of irrigation tanks and thus provide irrigation facilities to small and marginal farmers

The Government of India have sanctioned special project on  to create employment in rural areas of Nellore District with a total cost of Rs.1201.20 lakhs to be shared between central and state governments in the ratio of 75:25.  An amount of Rs.480.48 lakhs has been released for implementation of the project.                  So far an amount of Rs. 560.97 lakhs has been utilized covering 50940 beneficiaries under minor irrigation (MI) sector, animal husbandry (AH) Sector and Fisheries Sector
