ORDER:
  1. In the G.O. 1st and 2nd read above, the Finance Department have issued budget release order for entire budget amount of Rs.9450.17 lakhs (Rupees ninety four crores fifty lakhs and seventeen thousand only) under Non Plan Scheme for implementing the Old Age pension scheme.


  2. 10.66 laksh beneficiaries are being assisted with a monthly assistance of Rs.75 per beneficiary under the scheme.  Government has decided to extend the benefit of this scheme to 4.00 lakhs additional beneficiaries with effect from 1st March.2004. the District Collectors are requested to identify the beneficiaries and in case the identified beneficiary is already in receipt of drought (rice) pension up to 30th June, 2004 the beneficiary will be covered under the present sanction with effect from 1st July,2004 onwards. In order to provide assistance to these additional beneficiaries an additional amount of Rs.3.00 crores is required for providing assistance during the month of March 2004.


  3. in the G.O.5th read above finance Department have issued budget release order for an amount of Rs.300.00 laksh ( Rupees three crores only ) in addition to the budget provision during the Financial year 2003-04 for providing assistance to 4.00 lakhs additional beneficiaries with effect from 1st March 2004.


  4. Government after careful consideration of the above facts release an additional amount of Rs.3.00 crores under the head of account 2235-social Security and Welfare, 03-National Social Assistance Programme, MH-101 National Old Age Pension  Scheme (NOAPS) , GH 11 Normal Stat Plan, SH(05) National Family Benefit Scheme, 310- Grants-in-aid, 312 other Grants-in-aid in relaxation of Treasury Control Orders pending obtaining supplementary grant at the appropriate time during the current financial year to provide assistance to 4.00 lakhs additional beneficiaries under Old Age Pension Scheme.


  5. Commissioner, WE&SE is requested to release the funds to the P.D., DRDA after assessing the exact requirement in view of the instructions contained in para 2 above by obtaining the Budget Authorisation from the Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.


  6. This order does not require the concurrence of the finance department in view of the BRO issue vide G.O. 5th read above.
