 Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) is implementing Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) in all the 22 rural districts of A.P.

 Institution Building

90,97,139 members including 201465 Persons with Disabilities are organized into 7,29,522 SHGs in 34,269 Village Organizations (VOs) and 1086 Mandal Samakhyas (MSs). Zilla Samakhyas have come into existence in all the 22 districts.  As on today, the total Savings and Corpus of SHG Members are Rs.1567 Crores and Rs.3812 crores respectively.

Bank Loans and Pavala Vaddi

During this financial year up to August 2008, Rs.2439.49 crores of bank loans are given under Pavala Vaddi incentive.  Rs281.56 Crores is given to SHG members as Pavala Vaddi Incentive.  The target for bank loans for 2008-09 is Rs. 11037 Crores.

 Enhanced Livelihoods of the Poor

To enhance the livelihoods of the poor, an amount of Rs. 817.77 Crores is given as Community Investment Fund. An extent of 4495.53 acres of fertile and ready to use land was purchased and handed over to 5061 poor families in addition to restoring the rights of the poor over 98,726 Acres of land.  The incomes of the rural poor are secured and enhanced through 129949 jobs for rural youth.
